Agia Paraskevi
There are over 60 beaches on Skiathos island and one of the loveliest is only metres away from Hotel Ostria.
Agia Paraskevi beach is an arc of golden sand which shelves gently into the clear blue Aegean sea. It is a perfect beach to spend a day with the family. There are areas with sun beds, a beach bar and organised water sports.
Kolios
Kolios Beach is a short walk from OSTRIA Hotel & Apartments. Kolios is usually a little quieter than Agia Paraskevi and has fine sand, clear waters and a typical Greek beach taverna.
Vromolimnos
Vromolimnos Beach is about 1 km from OSTRIA Hotel & Apartments. It is located at the western end of Cape Kalamaki. In front of a swamp dried over the years stretches this beautiful beach, with calm crystal clear waters and wonderful fine sand. This is one of the island's liveliest beaches and in the summer is full of life and is a favourite destination of young people. Next to the sea there are tavernas, cafes and a beach volleyball court. Vromolimnos is available for water sports.
Troulos
Troulos Beach is 2 km from OSTRIA Hotel & Apartments, next to Bus Stop 20. It owes its name to the adjacent island that looks like a dome. It has clear turquoise waters and the pines that reach the sea offer thick natural shading. It is an organized beach and very popular.
Kanapitsa, Sklithri, Tzaneria
On the east side of Cape Kalamaki and just 2 km from OSTRIA Hotel & Apartmets are three coves: Kanapitsa, Sklithri and Tzaneria. Small, hospitable, idyllic, with crystal clear and calm waters and plane trees. The view they offer all hours of the day is stunning. Kanapitsa is a highly developed beach and hosts all kinds of water sports.
Achladies
Achladies beach is a beautiful and fully organized beach. It is the ideal beach for lovers of water sports. Located 4 km from OSTRIA Hotel & Apartments.
Vasilias
The beautiful sandy beach Vassilia is 5 km from OSTRIA Hotel & Apartments. Located southwest of Skiathos is well organized, with free umbrellas and sunbeds for the public. On the beach there are taverns and sea taxis that connect Vassilia beach with the town of Skiathos.

Koukounaries beach is the most cosmopolitan beach of the island and one of the most famous beaches in Europe. It is also known as "Golden Sand", because of the very fine and shiny sand.
